George Foreman Electric Grill GGR50B
The GGR50B is a dual-purpose grill that is able to grill food indoors or outside. This is a great option if you have an outdoor patio or balcony and want to grill outside on those hot summer days. Today we have shared our in-depth George Foreman Grill review on it, which will surely help you out, in making the decision of buying it.
Well, this grill was introduced to me by one of my friends, it impressed me as I was looking for a grill, we are a family of four so we wanted to have a big grill and because of less space at home. We cannot afford to buy one grill for indoors and one outdoor grill for camping in summer. So I decide to buy it and used it for many years. Here is my review of the George Foreman electric grill.
Electric Grill with Removable Stand
As it is an electric grill, means it is less expensive. You don’t need to purchase propane for it. You can use it in an apartment, loft, or on a balcony. When it rains during your barbecue, there’s no reason to worry. Simply pick up your grill inside the shed, garage or house, and you can easily remove the grill stand if necessary. Its removable stand allows you to either put it on the dining table or take it away for camping with a stand.
Performance
With its outstanding performance, it heats up the grill within 3 to 5 minutes. It will give you soft and juicy food after grilling. The heat settings on this grill aren’t listed as specific temperatures. It has numbered settings from one to five, much like a stove, with five being the hottest level. Levels 3 and 4 are commonly used for most of the food and level 5 is for searing meats. A vent in the lid can be opened to allow steam escape to out of it.
Unlike other electric grills, George foremen allows you to cook beef or pork roasts, large bone-in chicken breasts or chicken halves, and bulky vegetables.
The fat drainage system drains all the grease and oil into the drip tray preventing flare-ups. The lid also plays a role in smokeless function, it saves your counter from splattering and smoke.
Incredible Cooking Surface Area
It has a noticeable large cooking surface area that can serve 12 to 15 people at the same time. This grill gives you a full 240 square inches of circular grilling space. So, serving a large family, or having a backyard anniversary party is never a problem with this grill.
Cleaning
While using it, I came to know that cleaning is not as easy as it seems to be. The circular design of grill barely sits in sink, and washing lid of grill is a real pain.
Very Short Cord
For me, cord is very short. I always find myself joining extension wire with it while using. It should be few feet longer.
Storage
If you have a small kitchen counter and you want to keep your grill on the countertop, then think once again. It will take up more space than many other grills take.
Grease Channel may Clogged
You need to watch out for the grease channel. It gets clogged sometime and due to this, all grease will float into your food.
Final Verdict
Well, I find it an amazing grill with a reasonable price, I really enjoyed grilling on it. It cooked all types of food. It also worked on bulky food items that cannot be cooked on contact grills. Drains all fats from your food. Overwhelmingly, customers love this product, it also has an amazing rating of users on Amazon. I will agree with all people giving 5-star reviews to this product.
I have mentioned some negative points in George Foreman Grill review. Based on the cooking point of view I find it an excellent product and I would have written a very positive review of it, but that would be dishonesty with you. As a user of grill knowing all cons and pros, it is my responsibility to bring a clear picture of it in front of you. So that considering all points you can make a better decision. The most important thing before buying a grill is you should be aware of your needs and requirements, otherwise, you won’t get a perfect grill for you.
FAQ
How to clean George Foreman Grill?
After cooking, let the grill cool down. Now take a soft sponge and add some soap to it and use this soapy sponge to gently rub the grill, especially its edges so that any fats that are dripped leaves. Now wipe once again with a clean watery sponge to rinse soap residue.
With a wet sponge clean the outside of the grill and dry it with a dry towel.
