Grilling time varies with the size and thickness of the food. Here we are sharing recommended George Foreman Electric Grill Cooking Times. It is also helpful for any other indoor contact grill.
George Foreman Grill Instructions
- Always preheat your George Foreman Grill for 5 minutes before starting grilling. While preheating, make sure the lid is closed.
- Cook food for a minimum time and then keep checking food for readiness. Use a meat thermometer for it. It will never let your meat get dried or overcooked.

George Foreman Grill Steak Cook Time
When you are using boneless steaks of 1/2″ – 1″ inch. You will need to cook it for at least 4 minutes. After that, it depends on your taste. Steak Grilling Times are mentioned below
For Medium Rare: 4-7 minutes.
For Medium: 6-9 minutes.
For Well done: 7-10 minutes.
Chicken Breast
For the best results, we suggest grilling time for boneless chicken breasts 1/2″ to 3/4″ inch thick should be 4-6 minutes.
Lamb and Pork Chops
Either you are using George Foreman Electric Grill or any other indoor smokeless grill. Use boneless Pork or lamb chops of 1/2″ – 3/4″ in thickness.
Grilling Time: 6-8 minutes.
Fish Fillets
Cook the flesh until fork-tender fillets.
Thickness: 1/2″.
Cooking Time: 2-3 minutes.
Ground Beef Patties
Ground Beef Patties used in burgers should be grilled thoroughly.
Thickness: 1/2″ to 3/4″.
Cooking Time: 5-8 minutes.
Fish Steaks
Thickness: 1/2″ inches.
Cooking Time: 2-3 minutes.
Whether you are using Salmon, Halibut, swordfish, tilapia, mahi mahi and tuna steaks. The same timings will be followed for the above thickness.
Sausage
Use raw round sausages of approximately 3/4″ diameter, either Italian sausage, Brats or etc.
Thickness: 3/4″ diameter
Cooking Time: 6-8 minutes.
Smaller frozen sausages: 4-6 minutes.
Turn frequently for even grilling.
Shrimp
It will be cooked and turn pink within 3 minutes.
Cooking Time: 3-4 minutes.
Pork chops
Thickness: 1/2″ or 3/4″ inches.
Cooking Time: 6-8 minutes.
Cook until a little pink is left in center.
Lamb Chops
Thickness: 1/2″ or 1″ inches.
Cooking Time: 6-8 minutes.
Vegetables and Fruits
Asparagus
Cooking Time: 3-5 minutes.
Mushrooms
Remove their stems and then grill them in a way that the stem side should be down.
Cooking Time: 3-5 minutes.
Peppers
Remove the tops and seeds, then slice the vegetables lengthwise and cut into the desired size.
Cooking Time: 5-8 minutes.
Eggplant
Thickness: 1/4″ round slices.
Cooking Time: 4-5 minutes.
Zucchini
Slice each about 1/4″ thick, and trim its end.
Cooking Time: 3-4 minutes.
Pineapple
Slice the vegetables into 1/2″ rounds or remove the core and cut them into 1″ cubes or pyramids for skewering
Thickness: 1″ inch cube.
Cooking Time: 3-4 minutes.
Tomatoes
Thickness: 1″ inch slice.
